i looked for her eyes, but she had none for me,
she had eighteen eyes, not a one of them free:
there were six for her suitors, i.e., two apiece,
and two special eyes for her favorite niece
she had three eyes alone for the grave of her dad
while a single true eye both her brothers'd had,
and then she kept watch on the news, no surprise,
yes, the current events held two more of her eyes
with the three eyes remaining, she keeps open to see
which is why, as i said, she has no eyes for me.
